Michi Meko is a multiple disciplinary artist whose works draw influence from rural southern and contemporary urban subculture.
Discarded picket fence, headboards, dismembered rocking chairs, thrift outlets, gourd farms, and September trips to his native Alabama to hand picked cotton are part of a ritual performance and gathering. A gathering combine with graffiti elements, pop imagery, Google searches and YouTube content provide support and iconography for paintings, films and installations.
