Bandyopadhyay started playing sitar at an early age and has been trained by very well-known maestros in the field. She has won many competitions and awards and has performed throughout India and the United States. Her graceful style is full of sweetness, serenity, creativity, and technical brilliance. Her music touches the soul of her listeners. She teaches as Faculty Artist Affiliate for the Department of Music at Emory.
