Been meaning to post this one for a while. Got a new cell phone a few weeks ago….the Droid 2 from Verizon! Yes, I am an Android fanatic…sorry all you IPhoners! Anyway, man do I love this phone! First, if you ever need anything from Verizon Wireless, check out the store in Buckhead. I have been to the Howell Mill, Perimeter, and Ponce locations and they were all idiots. The Buckhead store has nothing on them. The knew their stuff and gave me some free screen covers a discounted case, and even more service discounts

I won’t go into too much detail on the phone itself because you can read a real review one of the geeky gadget websites like CNET or something. But check out the pictures below. It has got a full slide-out Qwerty keyoard that is so much better than the original Droid. It is the first phone ever to be shipped with Android 2.2, has a Flash Player loaded on board, packs a 1 GZ processor and a whole bunch of other goodies. I have downloaded a good number of apps already including barcode scanner, Facebook, Foursquare, Goggles, Sky Map, Groupon, Layar, Open Table, Pandora, ScoreCenter, UrbanSpoon, Where and more!

All those apps above are free, but if you want to to take full advantage of the operating power of this phone, I highly recommend downloading ProLauncher Plus. It is a skin that runs on top of the Android operating system that lets you make so many customizations and makes your phone run real fast.
